"Albania depends mostly on farming, and its main crops are wheat, maize, sugar beet, potatoes and fruit. It has borders with Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece."

Kejsi Tola was last night chosen to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. Albania are the first country again this year to select their singer and their song.

Festivali I Këngës came to a conclusion last night in it's new format. On Friday night all the artists presented their song for the first time, then on Saturday the artists performed duets with other famous Albanian artists to show their song in a new light. This was most effective in songs which now included a rapping part, eg. Sona Malaj's Zona zero. Last night the 4 hour show drew to a close with Kejsi Tola announced as the winner with 126 points, 7 points ahead of Juliana Pasha & Luiz Ejlli (Luiz was Albania's representive in 2006), who were 1 point in front of popular Albanian rap group West Side Family (also known as WTF Family after two poor performances out of three).

Now, I wanted Vedat Ademi with Po me prite ti to win, he finished 14th. However, I also knew, and I said it before the show, that Kejsi Tola would win as she was the favourite. I do like Më merr në ëndërr, in fact, I love it. FIK was very, very strong this year, and this is the deserved winner and if translated into English and if Kejsi Tola decides dancing is a clever idea then it could very well be Tirana 2010.
